Hotelli ja siinä oleva varaus, huone, palvelualttius olivat erinomaista. Aamupalan laajuus ja monipuolisuus erinomaista tasoa.
Pieni miinus TUI:lle siitä että hotellissamme ei opas käynyt kertaakaan, ei myöskään kerrottu mistä oppaan voisi löytää. Ei paha moka,mutta vaati oma aloitteisuutta selvittää asiaa.
Olimme via del conde hotellissa. Menin kyselemään tietoja esim. Linja auton lähtöajasta ruokamatkalle naapurihotellista. Naapurihotellin porttivahti ei millään meinannut päästää tapaamaan TUI: opasta hotellin aulassa. Koska emme asunneet siinnä hotellissa. Onneksi meillä ei ole kielen kanssa ongelmaa. Matka onnistui erinomaisesti, jäi hyvä mieli kaikesta.

Hotelli oli hyvä. Ruoka maukasta. Hyvä iltaohjelma. Todella palvelualtista henkilökuntaa. Meillä on aikaisemmin ollut huone merinäköalalla, mutta nyt oli standard huone. Huone oli siisti ja tilava, mutta sellaisessa paikassa, jottei terassille paistanut aurinko lainkaan. Ei edes pientä hetkeä.

Jo neljännen kerran täällä, oma tuttu lomaparatiisi.

Huoneemme oli lähellä paikkaa jossa iltaohjelmaa järjestettiin, tästä johtuen illat olivat rauhattomia. Ohjelma kyllä loppui yleensä klo.22 eli ei suurempaa häiriötä ollut. Viimmeisenä iltana / yönä oli kyllä aikamoiset juhlat hotellilla, tästä olisi voinut informoida jollakin tavalla. Säikähdimme aikatavalla kun ilotulitus alkasi...

MORNING SWIMS AND POOL CLEANING
When we checked in we asked at reception about morning swims in the hotel pools before breakfast. We were told to be aware that the lifeguards only start at 10am and should be careful, but otherwise we were welcome to start our days with a swim in the beautiful pools.
However in most mornings around 7:30-8:30am the pool cleaners had a strange habit of leaving a long tube and pool brush in the pools, but not actually being there to clean the pools! The brushes don’t move themselves. The tubes were just left floating there as if to stop us early swimmers from using the pool. We have stayed at Riu Palace Maspalomas and Seaside Palm Beach and in both hotels they do the pool cleaning at times that don’t prevent morning swimming.

RESTAURANT
First thank you to all the staff in the La Plaza for managing well the logistics of many guests. It was hard to find a regular place that we liked but eventually the side at the pool was best for us. Many places in the restaurant were very noisy. Even the “glass box” was very noisy.

Too much of the food at LaPlaza is cold, too many of the dishes are uninteresting, too many foods are missing labels and for example the ice cream serving system is a mess with dirty serving spoon in dirty water. I think that the restaurant is impersonal. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful, but the management of the restaurant has some problems. We suggest a stronger creative leadership for the kitchen and choice of menu. The experience is that the selection of food is random and it’s the guests fault if they collect the wrong food onto their plate.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

The best swimming pools ever! One really well heated pool, two good big pools for swimming over 50m. This hotel could really be excellent for swimming if the morning cleaning routines were sorted out. The very warm and beautiful Relax pool was always available for morning swimming but got too crowded when many people used it for morning swimming before breakfast.

Beautiful gardens with diversity of plants. Thank you to all the gardeners who maintain such a beautiful environment. I appreciate that many plants are labelled. It’s like a Botanical garden.

ROOMS
Pleasant rooms but many different kinds and types. Once we got the kind of room that we had paid for (TUI sold us Double Standard View, but reception first tried to put us into a Double Standard Economy) then we were happy. If TUI sell guests a "sea view and balcony" then the hotel mustn't put them into a ground floor room without a clear view of the sea. We refused to accept this bad service and changed rooms immediately. We got a room on the third floor with a nice view and were satisfied. It would be easier if you published a map of the hotel to make it easier for guests to chose their rooms. TUI should also inform their clients that all sea views are "partial/lateral" because TUI sells "sea views" from the room. But overall the room air quality is good, rooms spacious and comfortable and room service good. As usual there are not enough hooks!

Olimme tässä hotellissa nyt kolmatta kertaa. Valinnan syynä on hotellin rauhallinen ilmapiiri, henkilöstön hyvä palveluasenne, siisteys, sekä monipuolinen allasalue sekä mukavasti sijoitetut huoneistot. Täydellinen paikka rentouttavalle lomalle.
